10/13: Crash Course in Digital GOTV

Hi folks, I hope you are having a lovely midterm season! I’ve been getting questions about digital GOTV lately, so let’s respond with a quick training next week.

What: Crash Course in Digital GOTV
When: Tuesday, October 13. 3pm ET
Where: Via zoom (register now)

Election Day is coming up fast! If you need to Get Out The Vote and want to learn how to integrate digital tools and channels into your plan, this training has you covered. Over the course of an hour, we’ll discuss:

Organic outreach:

  • The kinds of content campaigns and activists should post in the final weeks
  • Which channels they should emphasize
  • How to amplify the reach of events in the real world
  • How to turn supporters into ambassadors within their own social and family circles
  • How to encourage them to spread your content, including via their group chats

Paid media:

  • How even a small Facebook budget can help down-ballot campaigns reach voters and volunteers
  • The strengths and weaknesses of data targeting
  • How custom audiences work, and how they fit into a GOTV program
  • How digital ads can support campaign activities such as field organizing and fundraising
  • How persuasion and GOTV campaigns differ
  • YouTube ads
  • Google (search) ads
  • Why streaming video has become such a prominent advertising channel, and how you can access it
  • Web video, banner ads, digital out-of-home and other opportunities to consider

And of course, much more! This session will be recorded, and people who RSVP will receive a link to the video after we’re done. And of course, I’ll post the video here for your edification and pleasure. Please help spread the word!

Lots more in the works here at Epolitics. Look for a recent interview plus fresh articles in the days to come. Thanks as always!
