Video: Beth Becker on Social Media and Local Politics

Start your week off right by watching the video below, in which our own Beth Becker lays out ways social media can play into local campaigns. In the process, she makes a good point about how the need for speed implies that campaign managers trust their staff to make decisions on the fly.

See Beth’s previous Epolitics.com appearances, and also note that this interview originally appeared on the Electronic Media and Politics website, which was new to me but is now on my list of sites to follow.

  • Unrelated question…

When did “Arab Spring” become a word? Someone needed to catagorize a bunch of mid-eastern stuff and then “Arab Spring” comes into existence. I listen to alot of news and read some blogs, etc, and I never understood what that was. Luckily, someone wrote it up on a wiki. Finally got to look it up tonight. Saved me. Problem with e-media is the need for clever “hash tags”… 🙂

  • I can’t wait to see what you have on deck!

Somehow I feel like “thou shalt have no other gods before me” is something Zuck says in the mirror every morning.
