Plenty of people’s electoral hash will likely be settled on November 6th, and we may get answers to some big digital questions that day, too. In my October Campaigns & Elections column, I look at three big trends the elections should illuminate:

  • Will Democratic digital enthusiasm, particularly as it’s translated into grassroots donations to candidates across the country, pay off big? Also, will Democratic campaigns deign to put much of their digital haul back into online outreach?
  • Will peer-to-peer (and friend-to-friend) texting tools live up to their promise?
  • Will the elections get hacked? Will we even know?
