In NYC June 6-7: Organizing 2.0

We talked earlier about Personal Democracy Forum, but New York plays host to another great digital advocacy event next week, too: Organizing 2.0. This Left-focused conference + training session attracts a terrific array of local labor, environmmental, civil rights and other organizations for two days of training and idea-exchange, and I’m a big fan. From their site:

Organizing 2.0 brings together hundreds of leaders, organizers, fundraisers, techies and activists to share our collective wisdom, skills, and talents. There will be workshops, trainings, discussions, consulting and networking opportunities, visionary speakers, and a provocative debate around strategy and practices.

Over two days in Manhattan, we will bring together hundreds of people to learn from each other, share stories and strategies and build our skills, organizations and movements. Featured tracks focusing on online to offline organizing, digital strategy, member engagement and much more.

I’m planning to be there the second day (it crosses over with PDF on that Friday, which is unfortunately the same day as my PDF panel), and I know I’ll pick up a ton of good information and excellent advice. Check it out, and I hope to see you there.
