Heading to New Orleans

October 2nd, 2007

E.politics will be on temporary hiatus this week — I’m off to New Orleans for a little manual labor at the St. Bernard Project, a rebuilding nonprofit started by a couple of friends who moved down to Louisiana from Our Nation’s Capital to help out after the flood. A bunch of D.C. folks have passed through over the last 18 months to work on drywall, wiring and insulation; now it’s my turn to put my money (and my time) where my mouth is. Want to do your part? Come on down! But if you can’t, donations would certainly be appreciated.
