Create Web 2.0 Mashup Involving Congress, Win Valuable Prizes

The Sunlight Foundation is sponsoring a contest to encourage people to present interesting Congressional data using modern online tools, with entrants being “judged on their creativity and how effectively they share information about Congress.” The organization is using its own Google Maps/earmarks application as an example, but clearly they want us to come up with things they might not have thought of. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! A $2000 prize is on the line…

Esther Dyson, Craig Newmark and Jimmy Wales will judge the results; bribe early, bribe often. Thanks to Jason Z at Democracy In Action for the tip. If you win, you owe us both a beer.
