Easy Options for Online Fundraising

While I was doing a little research for an old client who wants to set up online fundraising for a PAC he’s involved with, Sean Powell pointed out a great article from Idealware that goes through plenty of cheap and/or easy options for collecting donations digitally. Since it’s an Idealware post, the piece focuses on nonprofit fundraising, but political campaigns might take a look at it as well. In my client’s case, since we’re dealing with a federal Political Action Committee, he’s likely to end up going with ActBlue, but I was surprised at the range of possibilities out there. Cool stuff — online fundraising was once the province of big organizations and national campaigns, but it’s now truly open to just about any political group.

Netroots Nation Coming Up Fast…

And I hope to see you there! Am in the process of getting travel arranged and such, but the plan is to arrive in Las Vegas Wednesday July 22nd and leave the following Sunday. I’ve never been to Vegas, and checking out such a celebration of excess and consumption with a big gaggle of Lefties should be fascinating. Fear and loathing, here we come.
