I wouldn't accept too many edits. Your voice is strongest in your original draft. This is a visual medium in which you work, do not discount the fact that the epolitics web site design and rich content speak for you more than any elevator pitch can. They are in awesome shape.

I think you should flip it around, to make it more about what clients will get from you. What concrete results (traffic, money, media) will people get if they hired you? Your experience and qualifications are impressive but how can you help my organization get results online?

I like Michael's rewrite. I'd do something like:

With more than ten years of success in online advocacy and communications for progressive causes, Colin Delany can enhance your organization's Internet efforts and get your message out to a greater audience. Colin has practical experience in strategic communications planning, social media outreach, web site design, vendor management, email advocacy and online training. Take advantage of Colin's skills, experience and judgement to improve your organization's presence online.

Plus, free beer for first 50 clients.

How about something like this?

Using his more than ten years of experience at the cutting edge of online advocacy and communications, Colin Delany will help you to craft a web-based strategy to retool your campaign or organization for the 21st century.

In addition to building powerful strategies that utilize online tools to effectively promote your message and reach your goals, Delany can lead presentations to educate your staff, board members and key stakeholders in the skills needed to succeed in today's world of wired politics.

Good stuff.

I would change:

hrough the process of building an online strategy and putting it into practice

to:

through the process of building a winning online strategy and executing that strategy so that the organization's goals are exceeded.
