		<description>For long, lecture-like videos, I tend to leave them on in the background and listen to it like radio. I don't imagine that's radically atypical behavior. So if the producers and candidate handlers treat online debates more like a radio show, it could still be interesting content. 

That is, assuming you're interested in what the candidates have to say to start with. Could be more compelling to do more subject-specfic debates, so people particularly interested in health care or whatever can tune in.</description>
